Much of my work has grown from the fertile compost of real-life events — my own and those of people I know. It is a melding of family and friend stories, and the adventures and ordeals I have personally experienced. The perspective that comes with age and the insights gleaned from having lived a difficult, though remarkably joyous life, are woven into these stories. I enjoy exploring life in its rawest forms — distilled moments where life’s most exquisite flavors can be savored, and where the deep and assuring resonance of truth can be felt.
